Our Team
Joe Conroy
(He/Him)
Joe has been in the music scene for the better part of 20 years. These days you can catch him on stage with @thecottonwoodsband or working on an audio project in the DAW, Cubase (with over 12 years applied experience) for a friend or himself. In a former life, you could often catch him on stage playing in various bands, or behind the scenes mixing a live gig in his old stomping grounds of Green River, Wyoming.
Formerly operating under the moniker of "Unibombbeats", he is the jack of all trades when it comes to Digital Audio Production. He's also worked in the audio and musical instrument industry with a specialization in building Pro Audio Systems.
His drive to run shows, events, and mix a band comes from wanting to give back to a community that gave him so much.
Whether its a live band, a speaking event, or even a podcast, let us team up with you.
Its our job to make you sound good.
Rox Conroy
(She/Her)
Rox has been working with sound since she was 14. Growing up in the Coachella Valley, her opportunities to be involved in the music scene were limited. She started by helping with sound at her school's chapel band, and running sound in exchange for a ride to church on Sundays. Those humble beginnings quickly turned into frequent system setups 2-3 times a week and managing sound at any event she could, as long as she wasn’t playing bass or guitar.
In 2011, Rox moved to attend college, where she spent four years in Sydney, Australia, learning her craft as a technical director and stage manager for large-scale live audio events at a major house of worship. All while balancing school and part-time work, she dedicated around 20+ hours a week to managing audio teams and directing technical operations. She also supported and eventually lead External Audio Venue Teams for 2 major conferences a year (up to 10,00 attendees), overseeing 15-20 audio systems and leading teams of 30-40 people.
When she moved stateside In 2015, she did a foray into AV and then selling musical/audio equipment to others until she landed in the Ed-Tech realm where she has been for the last 9 years.
These days, you can find her leaning into digital content creation for bands and other small businesses.
Being a woman in audio has given her a distinct appreciation for helping others recognize that tech doesn't have to be overwhelming and when done right, can change the entire dynamic of an event.
I love making your event needs a reality
